Olga Konkova

Born, 25.08.69, in Moscow, has musical education from Russian Academy of Music in Moscow where she studied composing and piano performance, and Berklee College of Music in Boston USA.

Has been a freelance jazz-pianoplayer with base in Oslo since 94. Released 10 solo albums:

— "GOING WITH THE FLOW" on Norwegian record company Curling Legs,

— "HER POINT OF VIEW",

— "NORTHERN CROSSINGS" and "SOME THINGS FROM HOME" on Candid Records, London,

— "UNBOUND" on Alessa records, Austria.

— "IMPROVISATIONS INSPIRED BY JONI MITCHELL" on Caprice records, Stockholm,

— "MY VOICE", (music for piano, vocal and percussion.)

— "RETURN JOURNEY" , “THE GOLDILOCKS ZONE”

— and “DECEMBER SONGS” on Losen Records, Oslo

Olga also has a solo piano recording of "Summertime" on a CD called Piano Stomp 3, which features piano players like Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum, Thelonius Monk and other famous ones.

Performed all over Norway, played in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, USA, Germany, Holland, Ireland, England, Belgium, France, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Austria, Slovak Republik, United Arab Emirates, Syria, India, South Africa.

Played with Norwegian artists like: John Cristensen, Audun Kleive, Mari Boine, Knut Riisnaes, Arild Andersen and international jazz artists like: Ralph Peterson, Adam Nussbaum, Gary Husband, Bill Bruford, Jon Gordon, Marilyn Mazur, Seamus Blake, Jojo Mayer, Jon Christensen, Bobby Shew.

Olga has been playing with Norrbotten Big Band (Sweden) several times and she is a member of “ Ensemble Denada” in Norway.
