From 2012 to 2018 he was a scholar of the Hans-Kauffmann-Stiftung at the Hamburger Konservatorium, allowing him to have a wide range of lessons from theory to jazz piano to clarinet and flute and also classical composition. In 2018 Finn began his bachelor studies at the Jazz Institute Berlin, where he had lessons with Peter Weniger, Bastian Stein and Ben Kraef. Since his move to Berlin he has been active in the Berlin and German Jazz scene, performing with various ensembles and also with his own quartet, where his compositions come to life. In summer of 2023 he finished his bachelor degree. Finn has played in esteemed venues such as Elbphilharmonie, stood on stage alongside Randy Brecker, Dick Oatts and toured Italy, Sweden and Argentina.
